Do I need any medical documents for rehabilitation in Cosmosuit?

One of the main rules of medicine is “Do no harm”. Our specialists conduct a thorough comprehensive assessment of patient's condition prior to the patient's admission to the center. Based on the provided medical documents, specialists can make sure that you do not have any contraindications to the treatment, and intensive rehabilitation will be effective for you. Your coordinator will tell you which documents you need to send.

We try to be as honest as possible and do not accept patients with contraindications for intensive rehabilitation.

Why the intensive rehabilitation course lasts for a minimum of 2 weeks? Is it possible to shorten it?

Any neurological disorder is focused on the brain centers. Brain needs a week of active work in the right direction to "reorganize" the existing patterns of movement and launch the right activities.

Adaptation to the load of work takes one week, during the second week we work on formation of the posture and movement patterns in the motor area of the cerebral cortex.

If patient chooses a course of three weeks or more, the following weeks are aimed at training correct independent movements until they become automatic.

Can I schedule rest time or breaks during rehabilitation?

Usually the therapies go one after another. However, since each patient has his/her own individual rehabilitation plan, our specialists try to adjust to the routine of patient's day as much as possible and pay attention to the patient’s condition during rehabilitation, reserving time for small breaks, sleep and lunch if necessary.

How intensive is rehabilitation?

Rehabilitation takes place 6 days a week from Monday to Saturday. The patient receives up to 4-5 hours of rehabilitation per day. Such program helps to achieve pronounced positive effect in the shortest time. Active and passive elements of rehabilitation alternate during the day, so the patient is not overloaded.

Our specialists monitor patient's physical and psychological condition throughout the day and make appropriate adjustments to rehabilitation program if necessary.

How can I pay for the treatment?

Since Cosmosuit is a private center, most of our patients pay for rehabilitation privately. Also, we are happy to cooperate with your fund or insurance company to discuss the most beneficial terms of payment for your rehabilitation in Cosmosuit.

As Adeli method of intensive therapy is not presented in most of the EU countries, you can apply for the reimbursement of the treatment costs according to the EU Cross-border Healthcare Directive.

Several accommodation options are located within walking distance from the clinic, others are in 5-7 minutes by car. Also for children, we recommend to take their favorite toys, books and cartoons that will help to entertain them during rehabilitation.

Is it compulsory for parents to attend rehabilitation?

At Cosmosuit, we encourage the presence and active participation of parents during rehabilitation, as support of relatives is necessary for children. Moreover, parents can observe the actions of specialists, ask for questions and advice. However, permanent presence in one room is not mandatory for therapy. You can spend your time in the waiting area or outside the center.

Will we get recommendations after the course of rehabilitation?

We aim at obtaining a long-term positive effect and constant progress, so the rehabilitation of your child does not end outside the Cosmosuit center. After completion of the rehabilitation course, Cosmosuit specialists will give you recommendations for maintaining and enhancing the effect of therapy for the period between active rehabilitation courses in the center. During therapy, we also try to show parents elements suitable for rehabilitation at home.

How many courses of intensive rehabilitation should be done in a year? Will one course be enough?

To get the best results, we recommend undertaking 3-4 courses of rehabilitation each year.

However, do not worry if for some reason you cannot go through a certain number of courses per year. Even after 1 or 2 courses of intensive rehabilitation a year you will see strong positive dynamics.

What is the expected effect of rehabilitation course?

The effect of rehabilitation course is individual for each patient and depends on the age, diagnosis and severity of neurological conditions, as well as on the performance of the patient. In Cosmosuit, we get positive effect after each course of rehabilitation with all patients thus just the magnitude of positive effect varies due to individual factors.
